• Check for cracked and crumbling pavement.
• Parking blocks are secured and curbing is in good shape.
• Curb cuts, wheelchair ramps and transitions are clearly marked to indicate changes in elevation.
• Stanchions, light posts and other uprights are clearly marked and protected from collision.
• Loading zones are clearly marked
• Signage is well placed and in good repair and properly mounted as to not create a hazard.
• Ensure all parking lot lights are properly working
In addition when you are inspecting your parking lost take a few minutes to check the less traveled areas of the building.
• Outside of fire exits that are not used make sure they are not blocked and the stairwells are clear.
• Brush, trees and foliage have not overgrown walkways to create a trip and fall hazard or force customers and guests to walk in a more dangerous area.
• Make sure all exterior lights are working
• Stairs and handrails are secure no lose areas
