1806F678-40AA-48C6-B491-D0713E6B84AESpring is upon us. The church you visit, belong to, are a member of is now more active than ever. Spring cleanup, spring planting, and Spring/Summer programs are all underway. The church has many member volunteers all working together to create the best experiences for the church community.

What happens in the event that a Church volunteer is accused of causing injury to someone else? This can happen through a ladder not being set right, or items stacked too high that fall and hurt someone. Volunteers are covered under the General Liability as who is an insured.

One of the key items in your General Liability policy should be an endorsement covering volunteers as Insureds, the CG 2022. This endorsement adds coverage for injured volunteers under the medical payment section of the policy.

This gives you the Church peace of mind that your volunteers have some additional protection in the event of an unforeseen accident.

By making sure this endorsement is included in your policy you are adding coverage for volunteer members adding additional protection to all. As with all insurance policies, this is a contractual agreement. Exclusions do apply. Be sure to contact your independent insurance agent with any questions or concerns regarding your policy and its details.
